LG Tigers sessions are aimed at children between the ages of 2 ½ - 4 years old. Each course will require parent participation, which inevitably will provide you and your child with time to bond away from everyday distractions.
At LG Tigers we are aware that all children are different and learn in different ways, therefore each session is planned to facilitate each individual learning style.
“The physical development of young children should be encouraged through the provision of opportunities to improve their skills of coordination, control, manipulation and movement.” (EYFS)
“By providing children with a multi-sensory experience to learn about the world they will then be able to make connections between new information and what they already know.” (EYFS)
We have 2 age brackets where we work on different learning aspects with the children.
2 ½ - At this age we work on the children's social skills, listening skills and coordination with a range of activities getting the golf club in their hands and getting them use to the idea of the sport.
3 years onwards – At this age the golf club is a big part of the session and we focus on hand eye coordination. We continue to help them with their social and listening skills but with more golf related activities.
Each programme has been designed with reference to the early years foundation stage profile (EYFSP). The EYFS sets out all the legal requirements relating to learning, development and welfare. The children will be able to develop the fundamental skills required to play golf. All planned activities are age appropriate with the emphasis on fun!!
